This fun and engaging resource is suitable for any age group. Students work to check squares off their bingo sheet once they have completed the activity. This can be used to get students talking about reading and help aid in whole school reading. You might as a teacher give a small reward for any student who completes the whole bingo sheet.

The Odyssey - Diary Writing Lesson

(0)
Within this lesson students write a diary entry from the perspective of Odysseus. The lesson shows students a brief diary extract from the epic poem, gives them ideas of what they could include in their own diary entries and then shows an example of how students can lay out their final drafts. To make this lesson really immersive, I tea stained some paper to make it look old and gave this to students to write their final drafts on.
